The release of Rise of Iron is around the corner for the PS4 and XBOX One. There are still a lot of questions about the next big DLC. Here is the inside scoop that we want to share with our users at Raid Organizer.
Bungie has no intention of balancing the current weapons with the release of Rise of Iron. They will be tweaking the weapon after the release depending on how the weapons perform in PvE and PvP content. Here’s what we still don’t like about the balancing methods from Bungie – making changes based on PvP greatly affects PvE and there really is no solution to the problem. There will be a year 3 Thorn and the damage over time (DoT) effect still applies. The Gjallarhorn will not be as effective as it was year one. Bungie wants to keep the rocket launcher from being the only heavy weapon used in raids.
Vendors are getting a whole lot of attention. The faction vendors will be carrying an assortment of new items and vendors like the Gunsmith, Banshee-44, etc. will have items that are actually worth while. Xur will be carrying Ornaments. These are cosmetic additions to your favorite weapons and armor – some of which will actually change the overall look of your gear. Ornaments can be uncovered from Radient Treasure drops, but can be converted to Silver Dust and used to buy items from the Everse Trading Company and Xur. You can now buy Chroma from Eva Levante (not that anyone gives a damn about Chroma).
There will be no expansion of your vault space.
